We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA on every page of Plenary, including the event websites, registration, submission and review pages that societies run on it.
What we do
- Every page works on phones and tablets, and can be enlarged without losing content.
- Everything can be done with a keyboard, and pages are built with labels and structure that screen readers use.
- Text and buttons meet contrast requirements, and color is never the only way information is shown.
- We check pages with automated accessibility testing whenever we make changes, and review them by hand.
Known limits
- Files that people upload, such as abstracts, slides and posters, may not be accessible. We cannot change those files, but the society running the event can ask the author for an accessible version.
- Scanning badges at check-in uses a camera. Staff can always search for a name or code instead.
Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to use, or you need information in another format, email help@plenaryapp.com with the page and what happened. We aim to reply within two business days. For help with a specific meeting, such as access needs on site, contact the society running it.
